'An outstanding step by step guide to conducting technique.  These clear and comprehensive DVDs will be invaluable to anyone who is serious about the craft. There is no doubt that Denise Ham is one of the very finest teachers of conducting in Europe.  Her teaching of technique, for example, is comprehensive and exemplary in every respect.  What distinguishes her approach to technique is that she never allows her pupils to forget what it is for -- the MUSIC!'

                                                                                              Internationally renowned conductor and teacher

'I cannot stress enough that this technique works for all ensembles of whatever makeup or standard  -  children, amateurs, youth orchestras and professionals.  When used as a learning tool these DVDs can enable you to convey your intentions with clarity and confidence and be of real help to the ensembles with which you work.

'Central to the Toscanini conducting technique is what has been called "the singing stick", although it is by no means limited to the baton and is relevant to both choral and orchestral conducting. Put simply, it can be described as complete integration of body movement combined with the use of the baton as an instrument, giving the conductor the means to convey the music freely, clearly, and expressively.'
